Thoroughly inspect your home, looking for cracks and crevices. Pay particular attention to areas where utility pipes enter. Seal these cracks using a silicone-based caulk. For windows and doors, replace the loose or damaged weather stripping.

The only way to completely remove an ant infestation is to eliminate the entire ant colony. Locating the ant colony is a lot more difficult than you may imagine. Not only can ant colonies be up to 100 yards from your home, but they can also move from one location to another if their nest has been disturbed.
